We’ve mentioned kitting as one of our value-added services. However, in this article we will discuss what that process involves and how it benefits our customers.

What is Kitting?

Kitting involves assembling production-ready kits of parts. The extent of the process can vary depending on the quantity requirements (determined by the customer), materials needed and components.

This is an important aspect of the supply chain process and requires a manufacturer you trust. Having the correct components in a kit is crucial — particularly when they are chosen as a cost saving measure in the product life-cycle.

Cost Savings

We wouldn’t call it value-added if it didn’t result in some savings for our customers. Star Werks’ customers save on administration jobs and we assure that the appropriate kits are available, correct, and shipped when you need them.

  • Sourcing
  • Delivery and Tracking

We handle any manufacturing errors and can even coordinate invoices from a number of different suppliers. While these tasks are challenging, we find that they have strengthened our customer relationships. Because of this we are proud to offer them with confidence as a value-added service to our clients.
