Custom Cables

Star Werks specializes in custom cable and wire harnesses for commercial and industrial products. The cable assemblies are customer specific, meaning they are unique to a particular application and built by Star Werks to the customer’s specification. Many times these cables are requested in smaller volume than a typical cable supplier would accept. Star Werks utilizes both domestic and international sources to accommodate product design, quality and volume requirements.

PCBA

Star Werks specializes in many different types of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA) including surface mount and through-hole population, lead free and leaded, no clean and clean.

Many projects have a requirement for high durability with an extended operation temperature of -35° to 85°C. PCB assemblies are serialized, lot/batch code, and date coded labeled. These PCB assemblies also include custom product packaging, barcode labeling, and a turnaround time of less than a week once released to production. Star Werks currently produces more than 250,000 PCB assemblies per year.

Star Werks’ experience as a provider of custom fabrication services has allowed us to take on a variety of turnkey projects. For example, one of which included the manufacture of backlit telephone handsets for an OEM of professional radio equipment. The project required a telephone-style handset with a full-featured, LED illuminated backlit keypad. Also specified was a requirement for high durability with an extended operating temperature range of -35° to 85°C.

We produce assemblies that are lead-free, environmentally friendly, and RoHS compliant. We can also include custom product packaging, barcode labeling, and a turnaround time of less than a week once released to production (if required). Star Werks currently produces over 10,000 telephone-style handsets with and without backlit keypads per year.

At Star Werks, we build custom power supplies for a wide range of applications and industries. We partner with OEM’s to customize stock power supplies that meet their specific requirements.

We are capable of customizing internal wiring and cables including: AC/DC wires, high, and low voltage cables. Additional assembly services focus on the durability of the final product, including the custom fabrication of boxes, powder coating and screen printing, labeling (barcodes, serial numbers, and date codes). We currently manufacture over 10,000 of these units annually, shipping worldwide.
